What does a website cost?
The short answer: at Norwegian agencies, a sharp one-pager typically costs 15,000–35,000 NOK, a complete website with subpages 30,000–70,000 NOK, and online stores and booking solutions with payment 45,000–90,000 NOK. At FiksNett the equivalent packages are 5,500–35,000 NOK – and that is all you pay. Many providers also charge several thousand NOK per year for "maintenance" and "platform fees" – fixed costs without any actual work behind them. With us you pay one one-time price and then nothing: no monthly fees, no annual charges. The setup already sits at the affordable end – and over time, the gap only grows.
The prices – by type

| Complete website with subpages | 30,000–70,000 NOK | 10,000–20,000 NOK |
| Online store with payment | 45,000–90,000 NOK | from 35,000 NOK |

What affects the price?
- Number of pages and content. Every page needs design, text and images. A one-pager is therefore the most affordable way in.
- Payment and security. Online stores and booking require payment integration (e.g. Stripe), order handling and security – this is where the price goes up.
- Text and images. If you have everything ready, it is cheaper. If you need help with writing, it costs a little extra – but it often pays off handsomely.
- Who does the work. Agencies with project managers and coffee meetings cost more. A lean digital provider gives you the same technical quality for a fraction of the price.
Hidden costs you should ask about
Many quotes look low at first – and then grow quickly. Always ask about:
- Fixed monthly costs: maintenance agreements and "platform rental" can cost 500–2,000 NOK per month, forever.
- Ownership: some providers own the platform you build on – moving becomes impossible or expensive.
- Revision rounds: how many adjustments are included before it starts costing extra?
- Domain and hosting: typically 300–600 NOK per year, paid directly to the provider – not to the website builder.
"Cheap" vs. "affordable" – an important difference
A 2,000 NOK website from an ad platform often gives you a generic template, slow loading times and weak rankings on Google. Affordable becomes expensive when the site doesn't bring in customers. Quality in speed, mobile experience and SEO foundations is what actually delivers a return – and it doesn't have to cost a fortune when the process is efficient.
Our recommendation
Start with a one-pager if your budget is tight and your message is clear. Choose a complete website if you offer several services or need to rank for multiple keywords. And go straight to an online store or booking if your customers will pay online – that is the solution that pays for itself fastest.
